Essie Amodeo sits on the edge of her tub in what once used to be a relaxing retreat in her home on Dolphin Road in Garcon Point. Essie and her husband, Anthony, saved for years to afford their dream home, which took them five years of weekends and vacations to build while the couple lived in Alabama.
